Innovative work-from-home safety tool made free for all Australian businesses

A leading Australian enterprise performance management cloud-based software company is offering an innovative work-from-home (WFH) safety Portal to Australian businesses, free of charge.

To support employers as many transition their workforce into homes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, CAMMS has made its Working From Home (WFH) Portal and Checklist free for any Australian business for a 12-month period.

A recent survey highlighted that more than 88 per cent of organisations are now encouraging or requiring employees to work from home due to the pandemic.

As a company, we looked at ways we could get behind our community and customers in response to COVID-19. One way we’re able to help is by supporting businesses to transition their workforce to working from home,” CAMMS CEO Warwick Kirby said.

It is an employer’s responsibility to ensure a safe work environment for their staff – whether in the office, or at home.

However, the unprecedented pace of the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that many companies have not had a chance to develop an appropriate work from home policy.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer our out-of-the-box, easy to use WFH Portal and Checklist to Australian businesses at this time, to reduce risk, ensure compliance, and to help ensure hundreds of thousands of Australianare working in an appropriate, safe and comfortable at-home environment.”

The WFH Portal and Checklist includes a Lodgement Portal for all staff to register their intent to work from home, a checklist which requires staff to audit, review and accept all working environment risks in the home, a register of all submissions for HR and Management oversight, and analysis and reporting with ongoing auditability.

The online portal streamlines the completion and collection of the WFH information – think of it as a ‘one source of truth’ for your business,” Warwick said.

It provides executives and senior managers with oversight, and highlights any potential issues, as well as documenting working from home conditions to save them from future implications that could arise.

Australian businesses interested in using CAMMS WFH Portal and Checklist should register their interest for further information.
