Gartner recognises cammsproject as ‘FrontRunner’

SOFTWARE company CAMMS is one of only two Australian businesses to be named in a global list of top 25 project management software providers.
CAMMS, founded Australia in 1996, was last week named by industry leader Gartner as a ‘FrontRunner’ for its project management software solution, cammsproject.
The company, which now has more than 200 clients and 150 staff across the world, was on the list alongside major organizations including multi-billion dollar Australian start-up Atlassian, Trello, Basecamp and Microsoft Project.
CAMMS Managing Director Joe Collins said it was an exciting recognition for the company.
“We re-branded and re-launched our project management software late last year as cammsproject, so to get this kind of high-level recognition so quickly is fantastic news,” he said.
“This shows that what we offer is a really comprehensive and competitive product, mixing it with the big guns – multi-billion dollar global corporations primarily based in the US.
“We hope that this proves to organizations across Australia that they can buy local for software and get a quality product.”
Cammsproject was one of 25 ‘FrontRunners’ recognized by technology research company Gartner, which compiled the project management list through its website, Software Advice. Gartner also listed a further 25 companies as ‘Runners Up’.
“In most cases, we evaluate hundreds of products and feature only 20-30 as FrontRunners; thus, all products that qualify as FrontRunners are top performing products in their market,” Gartner writes in its report.
Cammsproject was named as a ‘Pace Setter’ on the list, meaning that it offers “a breadth of functionality” at a slightly higher price point.
The FrontRunners quadrant is compiled to help businesses find the most capable and valuable systems on offer. It’s driven using real user reviews and ratings, along with verified product data.
CAMMS’ project management software is used by thousands of users worldwide, including Bendigo Health, Western NSW Local Health District and UK-based NGOs the Mines Advisory Group and Article 19.
Mr Collins said cammsproject was an incredibly robust piece of software.
“It’s very flexible, suiting a range of organizations, particularly those within the government, health and not-for-profit industries,” he said.
“The system is simple to use, but contains all the elements needed for effective project management, from prioritizing tasks to tracking progress, managing risks and communicating with your team.”
CAMMS has grown to become a world leader in business management software, offering a range of products from project, talent and risk management to budgeting, strategy development, service review and meeting management.
The power of CAMMS’ systems is that they can be fully integrated, offering a one-stop-shop for organizations looking to run their business operations smoothly.
Its risk management software, cammsrisk, was recognized by Gartner in 2015.
